Joyce Ann (Plavka) Worwa

Joyce A. Worwa, 68 of Martins Ferry, formerly of Yorkville, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, at her home.  She was born on June 7, 1956, in Bergholtz, Ohio, the daughter of the late Joseph and Dolores (Riggs) Plavka.   

Joyce was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt.  She had a passion for reading and loved to crochet. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Worwa in 2004. 

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Stanley (Lisa) Worwa of St. Clairsville and Elenor Worwa of Martins Ferry, sisters, Connie Plavka, Linda Shirley, and nephew, Richard Plavka. 

All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home – Dillonvale Chapel, 154 Second St., Dillonvale, OH 43917.
