Julia Ann Wallace, 86, of Belmont, Ohio passed away on January 18, 2025. She was born on December 6, 1938 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Edward and Hazel (Poth) Kerkhoff.
Julia retired from Union Local Schools as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She also was a homemaker who loved being with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling with her friends. She was a football fan and an avid Union Local Wrestling fan. Julia was known for being fashionable late and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Carl Schaner and her second husband, Dalton Wallace; and a son, Barney Wallace.
Left to cherish her memory are sons, Louis (Kathy) Schaner of Belmont, Scott (Sheryl) Schaner of Barnesville, and Sean Kelly Wallace of Morristown; grandchildren, Evan Schaner, Jessica (Nikolas) Ball, Christine (Sheldon) Kahanu; great-grandchild, Brandon Holston; plus many special cousins and friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 3pm to 7pm with a 6:45pm Eastern Star Memorial Service held at the Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio 43719. The funeral service will be on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at the Parkview Memorial Gardens in Wheeling, West Virginia.
