Karen Ann (Poludniak) Yanda

Karen Ann Yanda, 69, of Dillonvale passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024, in Trinity Medical Center. She was born on December 27, 1954 in Martins Ferry the only daughter of the late Edwin and Betty (Gavarkavich) Poludniak.  Karen was a graduate of Ohio University and was a teacher for many years in the Buckeye Local School District.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jerry Yanda; a daughter, Stacy Yanda; and two brothers, Jeffrey (Barbara) Poludniak and Christopher “Randy” (Nancy) Poludniak.

Friends may call Wednesday, from 3-7 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home,154 Second St., Dillonvale. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 am in the funeral home with Pastor James Hoff officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jefferson County Humane Society, 200 Airpark Dr., Wintersville, OH 43953 in Karen’s memory.
