Kathryn "Kathy" Lynn (Douglas) Reed

Kathryn “Kathy” Lynn Reed, 57, of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021, in UPMC Montifiore Hospital, Pittsburgh.  She was born on June 13, 1964, in Martins Ferry a daughter of Betty (Briggs) Douglas and the late Leslie Douglas.  Kathy was a graduate of Bridgeport High School and loved swimming, long walks, gardening, and preparing family dinners.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Alvin Reed; her mother, Betty Douglas; 2 daughters, Casey Reed, and Kari (Josh Clevenger) Reed; 2 sons, Cody (Noelle Matheny) Reed and Douglas Reed; 3 brothers, Chuck (Laura) Douglas, Rick Douglas, and Jimmy (Gena) Douglas; 5 grandchildren, Winter, Jazzalyn, Flora, Maverick and Eileen and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday from 11 am to 1 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 pm in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
