Lawrence Dale Crook Jr., 68, of Wheeling, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, in Wheeling Hospital. He was born in Wheeling on February 1, 1954, a son of Eleanor (Raber) Crook and the late Lawrence Dale Crook Sr. Larry was a long-time resident of Warwood, served his country in the United States Air Force, retired from the Pipe Fitters Union, Local 83, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and WVU fan. He also enjoyed camping, throwing darts, playing euchre and softball.
He is survived by his mother; five children, Rebecca Crook, Melinda Crook, Melissa Hibbitts, Travis Crook, and Nina Crook; a brother, Keith Crook; a sister, JoEllen (James) McKeeta; 12 grandchildren; and many close nieces, nephews and cousins.
Larry was preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Heather Schultz; and two brothers, Roger, and Kevin Crook.
Friends may call Thursday from 10 am – 12 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Rd., Brookside. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12 pm in the Funeral Home with Reverend James Hoff officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
