Leonard A. “Lenny” Snyder, 79, of Martins Ferry passed away Saturday, January 17,2026, at his residence. He was born November 24, 1946, in Wheeling WV, the son of the late Leo and Rose Mary (Gaus) Snyder.
Doris Jean (Jones) Snyder, 77, of Martins Ferry passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at her residence. She was born April 3, 1948, in Martins Ferry, the daughter of the late, Huey “Bud” and Ruth (Woods) Jones.
Lenny was a retired coal miner from the McElroy Mine in Moundsville; he served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and was Catholic by faith.
Doris was a retired Beautician, owning her own Salon, “Doris Jean’s.” She was Christian by faith.
Both Lenny and Doris treasured their time together. They both were devoted to each other, sharing a deep and abiding love that was the foundation of their family. Their spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew them.
In addition to Lenny’s parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris J. Snyder on Monday, January 19th. In addition to Doris’s parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard “Lenny” Snyder, on Saturday, January 17th, and her sister, Kathy Samuels.
Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Chad Snyder, of Spring City, PA, Dave (Melody) Snyder of Gilbertsville, PA, grandchildren, Quinn Snyder, Devon Scolastico, Stephanie Morris, great-grandchild, Ali Morris, Lenny’s siblings, Dennis, Kenny, John Snyder, Jennie Overfield and Mary Becker as well as nieces and nephews complete their families.
In keeping with his wishes, all services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935.
