LORETTA ELAINE GEORGE

Loretta Elaine George, 77, of Barnesville, Ohio, passed away on December 14, 2021. She was born on October 31, 1944, in Moorefield, Ohio to the late Ralph and Evelyn (Nichols) Porter.

Her husband, Harold, preceded her in death, January 2019, after 56 amazing years of marriage. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Fred Porter.

Elaine, as she was known to all, was a warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her love for her family was the most important facet of her life, and she was especially proud of her grandchildren. At her places of employment, she made lasting friendships, particularly at the Barnesville Health Care Center and at Wesbanco Bank in Barnesville, Ohio. Elaine also enjoyed spending time working in her yard and garden. She touched the lives of many and always made those she came into contact with feel special.

Elaine was a devoted woman of the Christian faith and most recently attended East Richland Evangelical Friends Church in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Because of this faith, she longed for the day to be reunited with her husband and to join her Savior in glory.

She is survived by her daughter, Anita (John) Warner and son, Dean (Dawn Ann) George, all of Barnesville; grandchildren, Bradley English, Michaela and Hunter George; and her best friend of 40 plus years, Judy Farson of Barnesville.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, with a Memorial Service immediately following.
