Marion Stewart Obituary

  Marion L. Stewart 84, Flushing passed away Friday July 24, 2020 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born June 16, 1936 in Flushing, a son of the late Clyde L. and Clarissa (Walker) Stewart.

  Marion was worked as a truck driver; he had a lawn business and did recycling.

  His loves were music, especially country, Johnny Cash “Ring of Fire”. Also, he loved to buy, fix, and ride bicycles, especially with his brother Buck. He also loved photography. He loved people and would help anyone he could. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings Tillison Stewart, Matilda West, Gladys Cassols, Inez Body, Charmaine Ball, and Clyde “Buck” Stewart.

   Marion is survived by his siblings Imogene (Sam) Hendricks of Steubenville, Clarissa (Tom) Redman of Wellsville, Donald (Janet) Stewart of Flushing, and Shirley (Ernest) Dokes of Steubenville.

  He spent the last seven years at Park Health Center, St. Clairsville, OH, in the Alzheimer’s Section, where he received excellent care.

There are many people we would like to acknowledge, but none more than Clyde “Buck’s” family. For many years they included him in trips, vacations, wherever they went they invited Marion with them.

  Because of the COVID-19 virus private visitation will be limited to family, at the Harbor of Hope Assembly of God Church, St. Clairsville, with Pastor Dean Meyers officiating, interment will be at Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside assisting the family.

  We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Wilson Funeral Home for their guidance through this difficult time. And also, our sincere gratitude to Harbor of Hope Assembly of God Church, to Pastor Dean Meyers for allowing us the use of the Church, and the people that prepare the food from the Marion Stewart family.
