Marjorie Ann (McClarin) Swiger

Marjorie Ann (McClarin) Swiger, 88 of Colerain passed away February 16, 2026, at Wheeling Hospital.  She was born on October 16, 1937, in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Charles and Della (Lyle) McClarin. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence S.  Swiger, Sr. in 2018. 

Left to cherish her memory are her two children Lawrence Stephen (Jodie) Swiger, Jr. of Rayland, and Stephanie (Todd) Watson of Westerville, grandchildren, Nolan, and Brynn Watson, and brother, Charles (Elaine) McClarin of Bridgeport. 

Marjorie was a member of Colerain Presbyterian Church, where she served as a member of Session Deacon and also served on several church committees.  She volunteered at East Ohio Regional Hospital and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi National Sorority.  She was an honor graduate of Bridgeport High School and attended West Liberty State College.  She worked for 14 years at a Federal Agency and retired from West Virginia Northern Community College after 13 years of service. 

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 4 -8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, Bridgeport, Ohio 43912.   Funeral Service will be Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 11 am at the Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Joe Ellis.  Burial to follow at Upland Heights Cemetery, Yorkville. Ohio. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Colerain Presbyterian Church, 71780 Colerain Rd., Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935.
