Martha Jean (Motter) Heskett

Martha Jean Heskett, age 86, of Belmont, OH passed away on March 14, 2022. Martha was born in Belmont on May 21, 1935, the daughter of the late Orville and Cenith (Murphy) Motter. Martha retired after 32 yrs working in the cafeteria at Union Local Schools. She loved spending time with family and doing yardwork.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Heskett whom she married on Aug. 8, 1953, and siblings; Margaret Holland, Lura Williams, Ruby Swallie, Elinor Castello, Linda Brown, and William Holland.

She is survived by her four children; Richard Heskett of Clearwater, FL, Cindy (Bruce) Miller of Belmont, Kathy (Lou) Schaner of Belmont, Deana (Shawn) Thompson of Belmont, four grandchildren; Emily Price, Kyle Miller, Elyse Swallie, Bernie Thompson, six great-grandchildren; Aidan, Maggie, Grayson, Mia, Graham, and Evan, sister; Norma Heskett, and brothers; Raymond Motter, and Ronald Motter.

In keeping with Martha’s wishes, all services will be private with burial at Belmont Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 N. Main St, Bethesda, Ohio will be assisting the family. The family would like to thank Valley Hospice for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Belmont County Animal Shelter or the Belmont Fire Dept.
