Mary Kathryn “Kay” Schramm 87, of Bridgeport passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born January 8, 1937, in Wheeling, WV the daughter of the late Robert and Madeline (St John) Poole.
She was a loving, devoted passionate, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to the care of her family. She was a devout member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Bridgeport. Kay was a LPN and retired from Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Everett A. Schramm of 69 years in April of 2023, children, Linda Schramm, Steven Schramm, Donald Schramm, son-in-law, Stephen Kosky, siblings, Elsie Burletch, and Robert Geimer.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, David (Mary Ellen) Schramm, of Glenco, Karen (Neil) Cash of Bellaire, and Kristy Kosky of Freeport, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 1 to 6pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport, with Wake Service at 2pm at the funeral home.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 30, 2024, at 10am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with Fr. John Mucha as celebrant, interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Bellaire.
