Mary “Cathy” Snyder, 69, of Colerain, Ohio passed away Tuesday December 21, 2021. She was born August 4, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio, a daughter of Ralph W. “Smitty” and Mary Catherine “Kitty” (Flynn) Smith. She was a retired union carpenter from Local 351 in Toledo, Ohio. She was proud of the many bridge jobs that she worked on in her career.
Cathy was full of spunk and lived life to the fullest in her own way with her own rules, as she said in her last days of life “It’s been a hell of a ride”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded to death her son Greg Herman, grandson William Sweet and siblings Thomas Smith and Aimee G. Robinson.
Cathy is survived by her loving spouse of 30 years Wayne Snyder, her children Eric Sweet and Jack Herman, her grandchildren Donald Mauger and David Sweet all of Cocoa Beach, Florida, her siblings Roy (Vicky) Smith of Toledo, Sue Palmer of Toledo, Fran (Gary) Krall of Florida, also several nieces and nephews.
Cathy has donated her body to science through the University of Toledo’s medical program. A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. Memory donations may be made in Cathy’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association, WV Chapter or to the VFW National Home for Children.
