Michael Whaley Obituary

MICHAEL W. WHALEY

Michael W. Whaley, 56, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Forest Hill Care Center.  Born in Concord, California December 30, 1962, he was the son of Donald and Shirley Lynn Whaley.

Preceding Michael in death was his brother, Mark Whaley.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those who survive; his parents, Donald and Shirley Whaley; sons, Marland Whaley and Chris Shippy; grandchildren, Charles, Caden, and Shaylee; and sister, Lori (Gregg) Tilton.

Michael enjoyed motorcycles and the sense of freedom that was felt.  Being a very gifted person, he had his own unique traits, cared deeply about many things, and  enjoyed solving problems. Because he was gifted, this led him to being self-taught in anything he was curious about, more times than not, relying on his own skill, rather than seeking formal instruction or training.
