Mildred "Jean" (Ferguson) Misencik

Mildred “Jean” Misencik, 81 of St. Clairsville passed away Monday, January 27, 2025, at Wheeling Hospital.  She was born October 9, 1943, in Martins Fery, the daughter of the late Arthur and Freda (Hoffman) Ferguson, Sr. 

Jean was retired from Park Health Center as Assistant Director of Nursing, and she was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, St. Clairsville, and a member of the church choir.   She was a proud graduate of Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1964. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Misencik, in 2009, Infant daughter, Beth Ann Misencik, brother, Arthur Ferguson and sister, Judy Motto. 

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Ann Marie (Greg) Vucelik of Glen Dale, Mary Jo (Douglas) Heaton of Blaine, grandchildren, Ryan Vucelik (Ashley), Randall Vucelik (Kaitlyn), Andrew Vucelik, Matthew Vucelik (Fiancée Autumn Cecil), Sean Heaton and Brandon Heaton, 5 great-grandchildren, her "Best Friend" and caretaker, Jeff Vucelik and sister-in-law, Joyce Ferguson, Bellaire. 

Family and friends will be received Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 4-8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd, Bridgeport, OH 43912.  Visitation will be Monday, February 3, 2025, from 9am till time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 212 West Main St., St. Clairsville, OH 43950.  Burial to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
