Nancy Jean (Lucas) Porter

Nancy Jean (Lucas) Porter, 77, of Bethesda, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home in St. Clairsville on October 29, 2023.  She was born on July 31, 1946 to Janet (Mead) Powell and the late Robert Powell.

“Babe” was the perfect homemaker.  Her favorite activities were cooking, baking, and caring for her family.  Everything was homemade, including the favorites; lasagna, macaroni salad and chocolate fudge. Nancy was a very neat and orderly woman.  She enjoyed listening to the Bee Gees and other favorites while cleaning her home and doing her beloved yardwork.  She also enjoyed watching Westerns and reading the Bible.  She loved yellow roses and spending time with her french bulldog, Pug.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Lucas.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Robert Porter; mother, Janet (Mead) Powell; children, Beth (Mike) Edwards, Beverly (Carl) Wright, Rebecca (Albie) Ross, Johnna Bashline, Michael Lucas; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Pete (Laura) Powell, Hoss (Chris) Powell, Robbie Powell, Joyce Speakman, Joanne Carpenter, Beverly (Hobie) Wilson, Bobbi Kay Price; and best friend, Irene.

Friends and family are invited to a graveside service on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 11am at Ebenezer Cemetery with Pastor Murray Stafford offering words of comfort.  Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio 32719 is assisting the family.
