Norma Maria (Butera) Moskonas

Norma Maria (Butera) Moskonas, 88, of Wheeling, formerly of Yorkville, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 13, 2019 in her home.  She was born in Yorkville on March 11, 1931 a daughter of the late Joseph and Dina (Giacomelli) Butera.  Norma loved life and her family.  She was a devoted daughter, wife and mother who lived life to its fullest.  She was also a devout Catholic and an honorary volunteer at Wheeling Hospital for more than 15 years.  Normal was an avid golfer and volunteered at the Oglebay Good Zoo.  

She is survived by her two loving children, William Moskonas and Lisa (C.J.) McFarland; grandchildren, Anna, Joe, Tara, Ryan, Chas., John and Sean and several great grandchildren.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; a great grandchild; her husband, Alex Dale Moskonas; a daughter-in-law, Christine (Long) Moskonas and a brother, Leo Butera.

Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 with a vigil service at 3:45 and 6-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 102 Main St., Tiltonsville.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 am in St Joseph Catholic Church, 204 Mound St., Tiltonsville, with Msgr. George Coyne officiating.  Burial will take place in Upland Cemetery at a later date.
