Opal Marie (Morris) Ritts

Opal Marie (Morris) Ritts, 62, of Martins Ferry, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Country Club Retirement Center. She was born on July 22, 1963, in Bellaire a daughter of the late George W. and Annabelle M. (Moore) Morris. Opal attended Our Lady of Lebanon Church, retired after 40 years from Rest Care, enjoyed volunteering for The Special Olympics, loved her dogs and spending time with family and friends.

Opal is survived by her husband of 42 years, John N. Ritts; a sister, Barbara Russell; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Wesley, and Dennis “Moose” Morris.

Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 am in the funeral home with Msgr. Bakhos Chidiac officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
