Patricia Rae (Dear) Kenefick

Patricia Rae (Dear) Kenefick, 77 of Bridgeport, formerly of Steubenville passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at WVU/Wheeling Hospital surrounded by her family.  She was born on April 14, 1948, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Calvin and Wilma (Kaufman) Dear. 

Patti retired from the JCPenney Co. in the Steubenville Mall; and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Steubenville. 

Patti was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.  Her spirit of charity and dedication was a constant throughout her life.   She is now resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior, and we know that we will see her again one day. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, PJ Kenefick, brother, Timothy Dear and her ex-husband, James Kenefick. 

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Thomas (Melissa) Kenefick, Daniel Kenefick, grandchildren, Seth (Spenser Hill) Kenefick, Katelinn Bailey, Kyle Kenefick, great-grandson, Shaun Townsend, brothers, Thomas (Tony) Dear, and Gary Dear and sister, Judith Dear, and her fur-baby, Magie, along with nieces and nephews. 

All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport, OH 43912.
