Richard Louis Burlenski, 80 of Bridgeport passed away Monday, May 1, 2023, at the Country Club Nursing Care Center in Bellaire. He was born December 2, 1942, the son of the late Chester and Katherine (Androna) Burlenski.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dave Burlenski.
Richard was retired from Saginaw Coal Mine, a veteran of the United States Marines, member of the Lansing Sportsmen’s Club, and a member of the former All Saints Catholic Church in Blaine.
He was a man of many talents and interest; he loved the outdoors and hunting; however, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Richard L. Burlenski, Jr., and Daniel Burlenski both of Bridgeport, grandchildren, Jared (Charly Saffle) Burlenski, Richard L. (Sophia Li) Burlenski, III, great-grandchildren, Izayah, Wynter and Sage Burlenski, siblings, Chester Burlenski, Geraldine (Ronald) Zambori, Dennis (Donna) Burlenski, sister-in-law, Donna Burlenski
Family and friends will be received Monday, May 8, 2023, from 1-4pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Bridgeport. Funeral Service will be at 1pm with Fr. John Mucha officiating followed by Military Honors at 1:30pm, which will be presented at the Funeral Home by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
There will be a luncheon in honor of Richard Burlenski, Sr. after the visitation at the Homestead Event Center, Colerain.
