Richard Charles Woollard, 79, of Bethesda, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, in Country View Assisted Living. He was born on July 20, 1942, in Bellaire a son of the late Robert and Beatrice (Kleyman) Woollard. Rich served his country in the United States Army, attended Bethesda United Methodist Church, enjoyed hunting, gardening and carpentry. He was employed by Oglebay as a carpenter for many years and then was an over the road truck driver. After retiring from truck driving, he drove school bus for the Union Local District for many years. He was a loving husband, father, and friend, who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jane (Skaggs) Woollard; children, Amy Latham, Michael (Tricia) Sanders, Marla (Bill) Beaver, Richard (Jennifer) Woollard and Melodie (John) Bloszinsky; and 10 grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 N. Main St., Bethesda.
