Robert Krinke, 90, went to meet his Savior and Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, at his home in Mt. Pleasant, Ohio.
Mr. Krinke was born on August 11, 1933, to John and Mable Krinke of Mt. Pleasant. Robert served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. It was during that time that he met his wife, Gladys of Pennsylvania. Robert and Gladys celebrated 67 years of marriage this year. He is survived by his wife Gladys and their five children Amy O’Brien (Kevin), Linda Dalton (Marvin), Paula Campbell (Tom), Laurie Rayhill (Barry), and David Krinke (Sue). He also has 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He leaves behind his younger sister Kay Zimmerman of Arizona and many nieces and nephews. Robert spent his life serving God through telling the good news of Jesus Christ and preaching the Word, serving as an elder at the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, leading many Bible studies, a member of the Gideons International of the Ohio Valley region, active in the Full Gospel Business Fellowship of St. Clairsville, and pastoring a church in West Virginia. He and Gladys raised their five children to love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a gifted carpenter building houses and building furniture in his shop. He loved his dogs throughout his life. They held a special place in his heart. He and Gladys spent their later years together fishing, camping, gardening and visiting with their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Preceded in death were his parents John and Mabel Krinke, his two brothers Jack and Joseph, two sisters Dorothy and Joanne and his half-sister Jessie.
