Robert Wurm

Robert Wurm, 93, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away at the Walton Retirement Home on August 16, 2023.  He was born on November 4, 1929 in Carruthers, Ohio to the late Alphons and Rose Wurm.

Robert was a nice man who would help anyone.  He was farmer of beef cattle and a National Guard.  He worked in maintenance, welding, and drove trucks.  He enjoyed attending Threshers Conventions and all things farming.  He loved being outside on his farm spending time with family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn (Clawson) Wurm; son-in-law, Paul Noel; brothers, Clem Wurm, Arnold Wurm and Bernard Wurm.

Left to remember him are his daughters, Catherine Noel, Delores Ku (Earle Simpson); granddaughter, Terra (Jason) Cashen; and great grandchildren, Ava and Jackson; siblings, Mary Holmer, Victor Wurm, Lucille Mertis, Agnus Depinet.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 11am at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Barnesville, Ohio.  Burial will be on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 10:30am at the St. Stephens Cemetery on County Rd 6, Bloomville/ Attica, Ohio.  Wilson Funeral Home, Barnesville Chapel, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio is assisting the family.
