Ronald G. Kunze

Ronald G. Kunze, Sr., 85 of Martins Ferry passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, at Liza’s Place. He was born August 15, 1936, in Martins Ferry the son of the Lawrence and Jeanette (Wagner) Kunze.

He was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant after 34 years of service. He was a devout member of the First Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon for many years, besides loving God, and his family, he loved fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Wilford, John, and Donald Kunze and one sister, Phyllis Tate.

He is survived by the love of his life Betty Jane (Francis) Kunze, his wife of 53 years, his children, Ronald Kunze of Martins Ferry, Brian (Lisa) Kunze of Moundsville, Greg (Suzy) Riggs of Moundsville and Rhonda (Sean) Molloy of Bridgeport, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and sister Suzanne Phemester.

Friends will be received on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd, Brookside. Visitation and funeral service will be Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 11am to time of service at 12 noon at the First Baptist Church, 306 Locust St., Martins Ferry, Ohio with the Rev. Larry Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at the Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove at the convenience of the family.
