Sanford Carl Myers

Sanford Carl Myers, Jr., 88 of Wheeling Island, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the Good Shepard Nursing Home.  He was born on January 17, 1937, in Mt. Morris, PA, the son of the late Sanford Carl and Faerie (Spicer) Myers, Sr. 

Sanford was retired from Ormet Industries as a Boiler Operator, he was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Wheeling.  He enjoyed making Doll Houses, and Model Planes, was very much an Artist and enjoyed playing the Banjo. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Doris Thornburg, and Naomi “Susie” Valentine.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Marlene (Parrill) Myers, children, Carl Victor (Desiree) Myers of Wheeling, Sheila Kay Howell, St. Petersburg, FL., Janet (Jon “Duke”) Eikey of Wheeling, grandchildren, Jennifer (Zach) Meyer, Dustin Carl Myers, James Ray, Justin Gage and Joseph Carl Howell, Jordan (Ethan) Peternel, Jessica (Nicholas) Lowe, great-grandchildren, Haydon, Dalton, Wyatt Myer, and Owen Myers and Parker Peternel. 

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, January 29, 2025, 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport, OH 43912.  Funeral services will be Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 11am with Pastor Jeff Lewis officiating, burial to follow at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Wheeling, WV.
