Stacey Marie Hastings

Stacey Marie Hastings 49, of Mount Pleasant, OH, went home to be with Jesus on October 11, 2023, surrounded by her family at Trinity Medical Center, after long hard-fought health battles. She was born on October 25, 1973, in Martins Ferry, OH, the youngest daughter of Carol and the Late Robert Hastings.

Stacey enjoyed many different work environments, dental assisting, insurance billing, retail, and her favorite, nanny. Playing games, making crafts, and teaching the children in her care was her joy. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. She loved Garth Brooks songs, Mickey Mouse, shopping, and going to the beach. Her greatest passion in life was her pets and her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Hastings; grandparents, Howard and Marjorie Dickerson, Thelma Hastings, and her best friend Heather Lengyel.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Carol Hastings of Mt. Pleasant; fiancé, Michael Bishop of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Robin (John) Rozenek of Rayland; Michelle (Vern) Eikenberry and Charla (Sean) Kelly of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Robert (Kathy) Hastings of Easley, SC; and her beloved dog, Lacie Indian Sizemore Hastings.

She loved spoiling and will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews, Amanda, Matt, Andrew, Isaac, Elaina, and Lydia Sliva; Jeremy, Helen, and Emma Eikenberry; Sean and Sarah Kelley; Kalyn, Anthony, Antonio, and Ashur Kuhn; Ali and Brent Kendziorski; Johnny Rozenek; Evan and Tyler Hastings.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 16, 2023, at the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church at 11 am. The family will receive visitors from 10 am until the time of service. In honor of Stacey’s wishes please wear Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, Ohio State or Mickey Mouse attire or colors.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Harrison County Dog Pound at HCDP 82900 Toot Rd., Cadiz, OH  43907.
