Susan Lee Hanlin, 70 passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Trinity Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 28, 1954, in Steubenville, OH, the daughter of the late George Cochran and Lina (Merritt) Leeper.
Susan was Christian by faith, retired Health Care and Home Health Worker, most recently working for Weirton Medical Center and Trinity Hospital. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who dedicated the same level of love and care to her family as she did her patients. Susan lived life to the fullest, she enjoyed her time in the Bowling league, crafting, yard sailing, sewing and was known for her baking, and love of Coke – Cola.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan McPeek, siblings, Georgia, Joann, Danny, and Donnie Cochran.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 57 years, Martin Hanlin, children, Martin (Bobbie) Hanlin, II, Robert Hanlin, Jenny (Wayne) Roe, grandchildren, Susie, Allie, Tom-Tom, Gracie, Martin, III, Matthew, Carlyn, Cory, Ryan, Bree, Miranda, Dalton, Gavin and Ian, great-grandchildren, Bentlee, Blake, Novalee, Dakota, Serenity and Nathan, sister, June Tond, brother, Cody, (Heather) Pierson, son-in-law, Thomas McPeek, as well as many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and friends.
In keeping with Susan’s wishes all services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Wilson Funeral Home, 115 Union Street, Mingo Junction, OH 43938 is assisting the family.
The family will be hosting a “Celebration of Life” at a later date.
