Valory Gay Kuntupis-Marsh, 82, of Wheeling, passed away in her sleep Monday, September 9, 2024, at her home in Wheeling. She was born on June 22, 1942, in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Richard "Jack" and Marguerite (McCloskey) Wyeth. Valory was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church Martins Ferry and the Orthodox Christian+ Church of the Life-Giving Fountain Martins Ferry. She was a graduate from Marshall University with a B.A. in Education. She taught school at Cove Elementary in Weirton. Valory sold Real Estate for Walt Lint Realty in Weirton and owned and operated Michael’s Pharmacy and Gifts, known as “The Showplace of the Rockies,” in Rifle, Colorado. Valory was an avid skier, ice skater, enjoyed writing letters, playing the piano, and was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She is survived by her son, Darin Kuntupis; daughter-in-law Donna Deplaedt; granddaughter, Stephanie Kuntupis; a daughter-in-law, Jill Kuntupis-Rich, her son, Zion Rich; Sister-in-law, Irene Kopral and Niece Leanne Kopral; Sister-in-law Barbara Kuntupis; Nephews, George and John (Louis) Kuntupis; Nieces, Linda and Krissy Kuntupis. and Sister-in-law Carol Wyeth and Niece Dana Wyeth. Valory was preceded in death by parents, 1st husband, Michael Kuntupis; 2nd husband, John Marsh; a son, Stephen Kuntupis; a brother, Richard Wyeth and his wife, Carol May Wertz Wyeth.
