Vincent Orlando Suriano

Vincent O. Suriano, formerly of Martins Ferry, Ohio, and most recently of New Albany, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 14th at the age of 94 years old, at The Ohio State University Main Campus Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, to Louis and Amelia (Falbo) Suriano, on August 27, 1926.  He graduated from Martins Ferry High School, and went on to work at US Can Company and Sylvania Electric Company, before retiring.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Martins Ferry, Ohio.  Vincent served in the United States Army in World War II, stationed in the Philippines, from January 4, 1945 to December 5, 1946.

Surviving are his wife, Evelyn (Kovalick) Suriano, married for 71 years; sons: Vincent (Crystle) Suriano, Thomas (Kimberly) Suriano; grandchildren: Michael (Sharon) Suriano, Christopher (Haley) Suriano, Susan (David) Selan, and Stephanie (Mark) Foster; great-grandchildren: Avery, Addison and Amelia Suriano, Henry, George, and Walt Foster, Wyatt Selan, and Louis O. Suriano; brother: Louis, Jr. (Patricia) Suriano; sisters: Elvera Hogue and Emily Ruskowski; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Preceding Vincent in death are his parents, brothers, Anthony, Joseph, John, and Frank, and his infant sister.

Due to COVID-19, a private service will be held with Father Thomas Marut presiding.  Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Martins Ferry.
