Walter Roy Cramer, II, 80 of Steubenville passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born November 17, 1942, the son of the late Walter R. and Margaret (Ruthermund) Cramer,Sr.
He was retried from N.C.R. in Dayton as a technician, a veteran of the United States Navy serving his country during the Vietnam Conflict, and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Bridgeport, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jayne (Zimmerman) Cramer, children, Teresa Lee Cramer and Michael Valentine Nowak, sisters, Mary Ann Stanton, and Kathy Bogers.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Carol (Rackham) Cramer, children, Scott K. (Lisa) Cramer, Christine Nowak Haines, Matthew (Cindy) Nowak, brother, John (Van) Cramer, 8 grandchildren, Christopher, Kyl, Quinn, Devin, Sierra, Jada, Ian, and Giuliana, 2 great grandchildren Kayden, and Haper.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Wake Service will be at 2pm. Full Military Honors will be presented by the Belmont County Veterans Association on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 9:15am at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 1, 2023, at 10am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 630 Main St., Bridgeport, with Fr. John Mucha officiating, burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 1685 National Road, Wheeling, WV.
