Wm. "Jess" Warren Obituary

Wm “Jess” Warren, 78, of Bridgeport, OH, passed away Monday, June 8th, 2020 at his home.

He was born March 10, 1942 in Spencer, WV, a son of the late Martin and Chloe (Fox) Warren.

Jess retired from A.E.P. after thirty-three years.  He was a member of the Martins Ferry Rotary, Masonic Lodge, and Kiwanis Club.  He was a Boy Scout Leader, youth baseball coach, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  Jess was a member of and was very involved in the Mt. Pleasant Evangelical Friends Church where he was an Elder of the Stewardship Council, was in the Men in Missions group, taught men’s Sunday School, and was on the executive board for the Evangelical Friends Church Eastern Region. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Paul, brother, Timothy Warren and sister, Tranis DeChristopher.

Jess is survived by his loving wife of fifty eight years, Donna (Mobley) Warren; children, Wendy (Michael) Jacob of St. Clairsville, Amy (Kent) Warth of Hartville, OH, Wm “Jess” (Melissa) Warren II of Ellsworth, OH; sisters, Ellen (John) Gallourakis and Rebecca Muetzel both of Venice, FL; grandchildren, Jessica, Julie and Michael Jacob, Avery and Ella Warth, Parker (Jordyn) and Spencer Warren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Mt. Pleasant Evangelical Friends Church, 478 Union St. Mt. Pleasant, OH, 43939 or Camp Gideon C/O Damascus Friends Church, 28857 Walnut St., Damascus, OH 44619.
